Do I need protein powder?

Short answer

No. Protein powder is a convenience, not a requirement. It earns its place when you are short on time or cannot reach your daily target from food. Whole food first, and use a shake to fill the gap. Whey works for most men, and a plant blend works if you avoid dairy.
